About Amara
I bring warmth, cultural awareness, and over a decade of hands-on experience to every birth I attend. As a Black doula in Seattle, I am deeply committed to closing the maternal health gap for families of color. My approach blends evidence-based comfort techniques with the ancestral birthing wisdom passed down through my family. Whether you are planning a home birth, a hospital birth, or navigating a high-risk pregnancy, I will be your steadfast advocate from the first contraction to the fourth trimester and beyond.
Why I Do This Work
I became a doula because Black mothers in this country deserve someone who will fight for their safety, their dignity, and their joy in the birthing room.
