About Deja
I became a doula because I had a birth that changed me, and I needed to make meaning of it by helping others. I practice in Kansas City with a focus on full-spectrum reproductive support — I walk with clients from fertility challenges through pregnancy, birth, and whatever comes after, including loss. I am a certified childbirth educator and I run free monthly prep classes at a community center on the east side because I believe birth education should not cost anything. My clinical background is in labor and delivery nursing, so I understand both the hospital environment and how to be a powerful advocate within it.
Why I Do This Work
I had a birth that taught me how much a single informed, present person can change everything. I want to be that person for every client.
