Non-binary birth doula with chest feeding expertise serving queer families in the Triangle
About Rae
I am a bisexual, non-binary birth and postpartum doula in Raleigh-Durham. I use they/she pronouns and I built my practice specifically to serve queer and gender-expansive families who deserve care providers that do not require a 20-minute explanation before the appointment can begin. I have additional training in chest feeding support for transmasculine and non-binary parents, and I work closely with the LGBTQ+ Center of Raleigh to provide low-cost doula services to community members. Before becoming a doula I was a labor and delivery nurse for six years, so I know the hospital system inside and out and I know exactly where to push when my clients need advocacy.
Why I Do This Work
I spent years as an L&D nurse watching queer patients get misgendered and overlooked. I left bedside nursing to become the doula our community actually needs.

New to doula care?
A doula provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support before, during, and after birth. They don't replace medical providers โ they advocate for you.

We built it to show what a DoulaBridge listing looks like. There is no real doula behind it, so there is nobody here to reach.
